yes I know - Mr. Emerson already posted similar sentiments earlier, but I needed to get this out of my system before I started shooting anything w/black & white stripes.
Dear SEC officiating crew -
I can't honestly say that UGA deserved to win (only 49 yds rushing total?), but it's amazing the way that you took it upon yourselves to play such a vital part in the outcome.
Maybe LSU drives for the winning score anyway, but starting off 15 yds in the hole for no reason was a killer - especially when a FG wins it.
The whole meaning behind that penalty seems to have been lost - I thought it was created to discourage (and punish) players who taunted the opponent or opposing fans?
Hell, even the call against LSU was questionable.
We've all seen those SEC commercials promoting sportsmanship - since when are enthusiasm, elation & sheer happiness unsportsmanlike?
Are they worried that LSU's feelings might be hurt by watching AJ Green yell & hug his teammates?
The worst part is that these refs - or any others - have virtually no accountability. They will not have to answer to the media or to the public at large.
In addition, coaches do not have the option of challenging these types of calls - why? Had they gone to the video replay, it would have been overturned in a heartbeat.
An SEC official just went on record saying that exact thing.

When a blind-side hit to a QB's head after the whistle earns the same punishment as jumping into your teammates arms after scoring the go-ahead TD, something is wrong.
Yes - I know I'm pissing & moaning because my team lost. But they were doing fairly well at losing the game all on their own.
They didn't need any additional help from the zebras.
