Bring the Pain

I am happy to hear that Florida will be full strength on Saturday. I am happy to see that we are perceived as a weak SEC team coming into this game. I am happy that we are such underdogs. Bring it. I hope Florida and their fans assume the win. I hope they're looking forward to the SEC title game vs Bama.

Here's why. We have absolutely nothing to lose. Beat us and you were supposed to...lose to us and your season is done. What better way to approach a game?

This is the most liberating news (sadly) that Dogs fans can cling to at the moment. Same goes for the Tech game.

...but for now. My expectations are properly managed. I expect Florida to win because they are a better team than us. I say fine...bring the pain...but if we win...I'm laughing my ass off.

Suck it, Urban.

  1. Truthfully, the worst thing for Georgia is the fact that Florida has been playing like absolute ass the past few weeks. I could see your argument better if we had just come off a few dominating SEC victories. Since we have struggled to teams that are inferior to Georgia, I doubt anyone in Gainesville is already penciling in the win.

    Enjoy the game!

  2. Geez, I hope you're wrong. I'm not in the mood for that type of Saturday!

If I were a coach at UGA I would try my best to hammer home the "nothing to lose" mentality.

With the type of recruiting talent and athletic ability we have...I can only chalk our woes up to execution and preparation. Maybe taking the gloves off will wake us up.

  3. Don't have the stats in front of me, but I do know that virtually every game (probably 90%) in this series (at least fot the past 15+ yrs and likely longer) has been been won by the team that runs the most.
Not necessarily for the most yds - although that's usually the case too - but the most attempts.
It wears down the D, even if you only get 3 YPC. By the 4th qtr, if you've run the ball consistently, even a D as great as Florida's will be tired & holes will open up.
It also shortens the game & keeps our D fresher.

So please Mark, instruct "coach" Bobo to....Run the Damn Ball!!

  4. We are the worst running team in the SEC. I say that not as evidence that we can't do it...rather as evidence we've abandoned the notion. Get Bobo down on the field. Teach our line a little discipline and give the ball to Ealey.
